It’s interesting that all these passages are from the Old Testament. Is God’s lovingkindness described in the New Testament? I think it is–I think the New Testament word for God’s lovingkindness is “grace.” J.
The Hebrew word “lovingkindness” is “chesed or “hesed” and it’s translated sometimes also as “loyal love,” “steadfast love,” “unfailing love,” etc. It’s about God’s covenant love–so faithful and unfailing that no one English word can describe it. But, because it is a Hebrew word and the New Testament is primarily Aramaic, I think the description of God’s love is just perhaps different in the New Testament? It is surely there, though—Jesus, of course, demonstrating the perfect example of “hesed” through his sacrificial death on the cross. Good question!
